Neat & Tangled May 2014 Release – Introducing Sunday School Songs

Hey everyone! Welcome back!

This is my second post of the day. Please scroll down for this week’s Runway Inspired Challenge!! 🙂

So it’s time for some more from the Neat & Tangled May Release! We have *four* awesome sets being released this month!! Definitely something for everyone, with some super-versatile sets!!

Today I’m helping to introduce a new set called Sunday School Songs. With these great sentiments inspired by verse and a couple of awesome companion images I know this set will be super-popular!! And if that wasn’t reason enough to buy it, I should let you know that it is yet another awesome set designed by my super-talented friend Miriam Prantner!

I wanted to focus on the globe image, and came up with this:

*squeal* I love how this turned out!!

I started with a Pure White card base, and then scribbled Distress Markers in Barn Door, Spiced Marmalade, Mustard Seed/Squeezed Lemonade, Mowed Lawn, Salty Ocean, Dusty Concord and Shaded Lilac onto an acrylic block. I spritzed quite heavily using water mixed with Perfect Pearls then stamped it onto my card for that awesome rainbow effect!! I then stamped my globe and part of a sentiment using Versafine Onyx Black ink and I was all done! I really love the end result – a universal celebration of tolerance and the joy that ensues!

ETA: I really must remember to link-up to class! This one definitely fits with the Online Card Classes Watercolour For Cardmakers Class!

I do strongly encourage you to visit the Neat & Tangled Blog to see what the rest of the DT has created and to hop along and leave them some love!

Thanks so much for stopping by – I would love it if you left some love before you went on your way!

  1. Monkey clapping over here!! Bonus serendipity (or your clever planning) that the brightest part of your watercolor ends up in the middle of your empty ocean space. Kinda gives it a 3D feel!
