It’s time for another Runway Inspired Challenge! I so love creating for these!!

Here’s the *awesome* inspiration image for this challenge:

I love the mix of colours and patterns, subtle and bold here! Awesome! Here’s what I came up with:

I really love how this turned out!! I really wanted to do something different with this, and wanted to incorporate the skirt and all the colours throughout the image. Love the end result!!

I started with a Pure White card base and watercoloured it with Distress Inks in Pumice Stone, Spun Sugar and Tattered Rose, using water mixed with Perfect Pearls.

I then used my Monthly Moments: Slide Frame die to die cut two frames from Pure White cardstock. On one I spritzed with Perfect Pearls Mist in Biscotti and the other I stamped with the corresponding frame image from Monthly Moments: Slide Frame using Distress Inks in Pumice Stone, Tattered Rose, Spun Sugar, Tumbled Glass and Shaded Lilac. I spritzed with water and stamped off a few times between the colours. Love the soft subtle look here – meant to mimic the pattern on the skirt!!

I adhered both frames to the card using Pinflair Glue Gel, then set about my sentiment, I used the Phrase Play #1 die to die-cut the ‘You’ from Golden Tiara cardstock, then edged the letters with a Distress Marker in Gathered Twigs. I painted over the letters lightly with Heidi Swapp Colour Shine Mist in Mustard, then used the negative of the letters to guide their positioning and adhered them with Pinflair.

I used a strip of washi tape adhered to a piece of white cardstock then die-cut it with the Building Blocks die collection before stamping with the companion sentiments from Winnie & Walter’s The Big The Bold And You using Versafine Onyx Black ink and heat embossed with Filigree Black embossing powder. I adhered to my card using Pinflair and added a few sequins for a finishing touch and I was all done!!

So anyway, now I’m all done squealing and monkey clapping with excitement and all the rest of it, you definitely want to check out what the rest of the DT have come up with!!
