Wacky Washi

Hey everyone! How are you doing?

I’ve got a fun card to show you today featuring custom made washi tape. Creating your own washi tape is quick, inexpensive and completely customisable too!

So, here’s what I ended up creating:

Fun huh? And very easy to make too!

I started off by creating the washi tape. I used various different widths of Scor Tape and adhered white tissue paper to them. After carefully trimming them out I then set about creating all those funky patterns!

I used Rosie Posie, Mehndhi Medallion, Waltzingmouse StampsGingham & Co (the reverse polka dot image), Background Basics: Circles, Glitz DesignsDistressing 2 (houndstooth pattern), and Skipping Stones Design‘s Timeless Textures (sheet music) to create my patterns.

I used a variety of inks including Aqua Mist, Kraft, Dark Chocolate, Canyon Clay, Pinefeather, Berry Sorbet, Spring Moss, Hawaiian Shores, Summer Sunrise, Autumn Rose, Pure Poppy and Versafine Onyx Black. Phew!

With all that colour and pattern I didn’t need a sentiment or anything else, so I just adhered the strips to a Vintage Cream card base and I was done! Another fun thing about this card is that it works both horizontally and vertically too!

I hope you’ll be back tomorrow to join me, and I’d love to hear what you think of this card! Thanks so much for stopping by!
