Happy Birthday to Me!

Hey everyone! Happy Tuesday!

It’s a Happy Tuesday for me as today’s my birthday! Happy Birthday to me! We’ll not discuss how old I am, but I can still get mistaken for being in my early 20s so let’s just go with that shall we?!

As has become customary on my blog for my birthday, I have made myself a birthday card, lol! It’s fun and gives me a chance to create a card just for me that I really like. So here is my birthday card for this year:

How fun and fabulous is that?! I just love it!

I started with a Vintage Cream card base and adhered some October Afternoon Cake Walk patterned paper to the front. Next I die cut the Polaroid frame from more paper from the collection using the Fabulous Frames die. I inked the edges with Smokey Shadow ink and adhered it to the base using Pinflair Glue Gel.

I then stamped lots of camera images from the Maya Road Say Cheese set using Smokey Shadow ink. Love how this turned out! I added a little sentiment  from 2012 Birthday Tags and stars from Military Stars in there as well, to complete the space.

Next, the banner! I die cut this using another die from the Fabulous Frames die collection and stamped it with the co-ordinating image from the Fabulous Frames set using Pure Poppy ink. I added the sentiments from the Heidi Swapp Memory File set and 2012 Birthday Tags using Versafine Onyx Black ink. The banner was then adhered off the frame using Pinflair.

I stamped the circled star from 2012 Birthday Tags using Aqua Mist ink, then the smaller stars with Harvest Gold and Berry Sorbet inks. I trimmed out, layered and adhered the smaller stars to the centre then punched out the circle and adhered off the frame. Some final finishing touches were needed, so I pulled out my Studio Calico Epic set and added the quotation marks around the frame! And I was done!

Thank you so much for stopping by today, I do hope you’ll leave some birthday card love! I will be eating cake today, that will probably be my only celebration but it’s an important one! See you again soon!
