Ombre Butterflies

Hey everyone! How are you all today, Monday excepted?!

I’m sharing a project I created for Gel-à-Tins before using the Gelly Jr’s Flutterby stamp:

I love the ombre stamping in this!

I started with a Stamper’s Select White card base then stamped the butterfly all over using Lemon Tart, Harvest Gold, Summer Sunrise, Orange Zest and Canyon Clay inks. I let the butterflies overlap each other to really add to the full effect!

When the base was completely covered I adhere a piece of vellum over the front to calm the colours down a bit and rounded one corner. I then stamped the sentiment from Think Big Favourites #5 using Dark Chocolate ink and added some rhinestones to frame it.

As a final finishing touch I inked up the butterfly with several of the inks I’d used and stamped it onto vellum, then carefully trimmed it out, curled its wings and adhered to the base using Pinflair Glue Gel.

Well, that’s it for me today! Tomorrow is my birthday, so I’ll be back with a very special card to mark it! *wink* Thanks so much for stopping by!
