I’m back today to welcome to Day 1 of the Newton’s Nook September Release!
We have FOUR *awesome* sets being released this month – and you’re totally invited to come party with us!
This month we’re getting into the Autumn and Halloween spirit! Today’s set is a fun fun set that features Newton as well – Newton’s Perfect Pumpkin!!
I wanted the colouring and Newton to shine through so I didn’t do anything too out of the ordinary with him:
What do you think? I love how this turned out!!
I started with a panel of Pure White cardstock and stamped Newton using Memento Tuxedo Black ink then coloured him with Copics. He looks like he’s loving that pumpkin! I trimmed him out and adhered him to my card base with Pinflair Glue Gel, using a panel of patterned paper from the My Mind’s Eye Kraft Funday collection. I added a strip of washi tape to ground Newton and my sentiment, and stamped the spider and his web using Versafine Onyx Black ink to complete this cute little card!
I stamped Newton and the squirrel onto a piece of Pure White cardstock and coloured them in, along with another branch. I trimmed them all out carefully, including trimming around Newton’s paws so I could hang him off the branch! All were adhered to the base using Pinflair Glue Gel and I added a wooden heart from the My Mind’s Eye Necessities Wood Collection and I was all done!
