Runway Inspired Challenge #59 – J. Mendel

Hey everyone! Happy Tuesday!

It’s time for another Runway Inspired Challenge! I so love creating for these!!

Here’s the *gorgeous* inspiration image for this challenge:

I was really drawn to the flowing layers and the black strips of fabric dividing the sections of the dress. Here’s what I came up with:

I love this so much!!

I started with a Pure White card base and watercoloured it with SU! ink in Pear Pizzazz mixed with a little water and Perfect Pearls.

When dry I adhered some strips of True Black cardstock then stamped my sentiments from Altenew’s Super Script set using Versafine Onyx Black ink. I overstamped the ‘awesome’ with Versamark ink and heat embossed with Filigree Black embossing powder. I love the bold, graphic look of the finished card!

So anyway, now I’m all done squealing and monkey clapping with excitement and all the rest of it, you definitely want to check out what the rest of the DT have come up with!!

Our sponsor this week is Simon Says Stamp so be sure to enter to be in with a chance of an awesome prize!

Thanks so much for joining me today and sharing in my excitement!! I would love it if you left some love before you went on your way!

  1. Hey, super-fab designer! Really love the look of this one … the angles of your lines, and how they are different widths, are so energetic! Fun play with the sentiment too. Awesome.
