Happy Monday! I know, I know, Mondays are tough. We all need a little tonic to help us get through the day. Luckily there’s a new challenge in town to help us do just that – the Cure For The Monday Blues Challenge!!
This is a challenge which I’ve created myself, yay me! Every Monday I will bring you a photo inspiration challenge, with images that focus on lifting us out of those Monday doldrums and all inspired to create!! I’ll be asking you to play along as well and linking up your creations! At the end of each week I’ll pick a Top 3 who’ll be my Cures For The Monday Blues and receive a special badge to add to your blog!!
This challenge is in its sixteenth week now – 4 months old today!! Time sure flies! Thank you to everyone who has given it love and support and helped it to grow!
In case you missed this previous post, please read on for some of the recent changes made to the Challenge – including info on how to be in with a chance of becoming a Guest Designer!
Right then. Back to business, lol!
Before we get to this week’s challenge I want to once again thank all of you that submitted entries for the last challenge. I am always especially happy to see some new faces to the Challenge, as well as ‘regulars’! They were all truly beautiful entries and you did not make my life easy when choosing the winners!! I really wanted to pick you all!! Here are my Top 3 Cures For The Monday Blues:
Winners please contact me to be sent your challenge winner’s badges!
Yet again I had some absolute stunners for entries. It is seriously getting harder and harder each week to pick out only a Top 3! All of you have really been putting in some amazing designs and it makes me so happy when you play, so please keep playing along!
So are you excited to get this week’s challenge under way?! Let’s see what’s up for this week’s inspiration:
I am so taken by the modernity of the bright, clean, white walls, and then the pops of geometrics and colour – wow!! And there’s so many more things here that can lead your imagination in all different directions for your creations! Gotta love that!!
Here’s my take on the inspiration:
I really love how this turned out!! It didn’t take the direction I originally envisaged in my head but I’m happy nonetheless!
I started with a Pure White card base, creating a narrower card than usual to evoke the feel of the room. I then repeatedly stamped the single triangle from Mama Elephant’s Trifecta set using Distress Ink in Scattered Straw, Hero Arts ink in Bubble Gum, Mama Elephant ink in Smoke (stamped off once) and Versafine Onyx Black ink.
I chose the colours and arrangement to match that awesome duvet and am really happy with the eyeballing for the stamp position!!
I added the main sentiment from Altenew’s Super Script set (can’t seem to put this one down!) and then added a label maker sentiment to complete the look. Loving the end result!
So now it’s your turn to cure the Monday Blues! Here’s how to participate in the challenge!

Congratulations to the winners last week! Awesome cards. Love your card, Taheerah!
Congratulations to the winners of last week, fantastic cards! Once again I couldn't play along, but I'm just starting my card for this week so I won't be caught running out of time. Love your simple but oh so effective card with those randomly well selected and placed triangles :). That big bold sentiment is awesome too.
This is lovely, I love the triangled inspiration on ur card and thank you so much for picking my card as one of the winner for the last challenge, I am super excited !!
Totally love your card, it is so trendy, fresh and cool! Your take on the inspiration photo is simply perfect!
Woah, nice positioning on your triangles!! Seriously. Why can't I find any overlapping, or gaps? They're all balanced so well too. Such a fresh, fun card with the triangles, the raspberry/gold, the script, and the label maker.
Oh, how fun!!! Thanks so much for the fun!! Flattered and super thankful for the shout out!!?
Marvelous, Taheerah! Wonderful stamping on this stylish beauty (I love my Motex labeler) 🙂
