Wise Guys

Hey everyone! Happy Wednesday!

I’m up on the Newton’s Nook blog today with an awesome card – and I finally created something that doesn’t use Newton! I figured it was the turn of Winston to shine so I pulled out Winston’s Birthday and got to work!

Here’s what I came up with:

Don’t all the Winstons look like such wise guys?! Totally cracks me up!

I started with a Rustic White card base. I wanted to accessorise the Winstons with different hats so I pulled out my Sweet Stamp Shop Too Hip set and stamped some of the hats onto a Post-It Note and trimmed them out to create some masks. I worked out the relative positions of where the Winstons would go and, one by one, stamped them with the masks in place using Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I then stamped the hats and also decided to add the glasses and bow tie to two of the Winstons too – so fun!

I wanted to have it look like two of the Winstons were ganging up on their friend with they birthday remark, but I wanted something subtle. I chose one of the dies from the X-Cut Speech Bubbles die set and impressed it into the base, then stamped my sentiment inside it!

Sometimes the simplest ideas are the best, don’t you think? 🙂

Please do leave a comment on the Newton’s Nook blog – and while you’re there take a look at the latest Inky Paws Challenge too!

Thanks so much for stopping by! I would love it if you left some love before you went on your way!
