Stop And Go Blog Hop

Hey everyone! Welcome back!

This is my second post of the day. Please scroll down to see this week’s Cure For The Monday Blues Challenge!

So I’m back today for a very special Blog Hop indeed! My dear super-talented friend Miriam invited me to showcase her wonderful Stop And Go set along with some of our other blogging friends! You should have arrived here from Laura’s blog and doubtless she’s already wowed you! 😉 If you get lost at any point along the Hop, or want to start to the beginning then just head back to the Neat & Tangled blog!

So then, let’s take a look at the awesome set we’re showcasing today (and that you have a chance of winning, BTW! Read on to the end for more details!):

I totally love how Miriam’s sets are always so unique! There’s definitely a bit of a street theme going on with this and her previous On The Corner sets! I absolutely adore all the fun little elements and sentiments that go with these different traffic signs!

I, of course, wanted to do something outside-the-box, and, armed with some inspiration from Danielle Flanders, came up with this:

I totally *love* how this turned out!!

I started with a Pure White card base and stamped the circle light/mesh using Delicata Gold ink. I used both the image side and the reverse of the stamp to get the mix of solid and hatched dots – love this effect! I heat embossed all but one of the images using WOW! Metallic Gold Rich Pale embossing powder (having to leave one plain to avoid problems stamping the sentiment on top, but boy does my OCD not like it… ).

I added the ‘Thanks’ sentiment from Stop And Go using Versafine Onyx Black ink, then supplemented it with part of a sentiment from Merry And Bright. I added some stripes from On The Strip 2 and Across The Card then called this card done!

So, I promised you details on how to win this set, right?! TWO of these sets are being given away across this Hop! One winner will be selected from all the comments left on the Neat & Tangled blog, and the other from all the comments across all the collective blogs on the Hop – so make sure you comment on every stop! Your next and final stop is my awesome fellow Gallery Idol and Newton’s Nook team-mate Tessa!

Here’s the full order of amazing talent taking part in this Hop!

Good luck to everyone! I would love it if you left some love before you went on your way!! Thanks so much for stopping by!!

  1. What a great way to think about the stamp set. Love the sparkle & dazzle….. very simple but what an impact it has ! Feels very uplifting & celebratory….. has put me in a party mood. That's given me a thought, this would make a great evening party invitation using a different sentiment

  2. OH of course, I ALWAYS forget about the back of the stamp … much easier than making a stencil, silly me : ) Really love your treatment in gold, and I kinda enjoy the one non-embossed circle. Super gorgeous, classy and elegant, as I have come to expect from you : )

  3. Love what you did with the set! It turned out so pretty- the gold is awesome! Thanks for all the love on my blog today, too! 🙂 It made me smile!
