What a great Saturday it is! Today is the first day of Introductory posts for the Uniko Studio release!!

This month’s release definitely has something for everyone!! Today I’m seriously beyond giddy to help get the party started with a super awesome set that embraces art and geek at the same time – Explosion!!

This set features an amazing explosion image with comic-style sentiments that will definitely back a punch!! Perfect for those guy cards, but also super-versatily too!!

Being a *huge* lover of Pop Art, I only had one thing on the brain when it came to playing with this set – Lichtenstein:

*Squeal*!! I am so in love with this and how it turned out!!!

I started by stamping the explosion on a piece of Pure White cardstock using Versafine ink. I then created a few masks and used these to mask the centre and first outline of the explosion so I could then pair the image with a match-made-in-Heaven set: WPlus9’s So 80s! I stamped the larger halftone image using Memento Luxe ink in Dandelion for an instant burst of Pop Art!

I then removed my thinner mask and used a Distress Marker in Barn Door to add some red. I stamped the centre lightly with the other halftone image from the WPlus9 set using Mama Elephant ink in Smoke.

I stamped the sentiment and coloured it in, then trimmed out each letter individually before adhering slightly on top of each other for the perfect look! I added a couple of line images on the panel then adhered it to my card base.

I was going to stamp all this straight onto the card base originally but I kept messing it up and being drawn back to the ‘practice’ image I created and figured I might as well quit fighting fate. As it turns out I like the wonky panel finish for this card!
