Hey everyone! And welcome to Day 1 of the Newton’s Nook January Release!
We have two *awesome* sets being released this month – and you’re totally invited to come party with us!
Today’s set is a sweet delicious cutie called Love à La Carte and is full of delicious images that are bound to whet your stamping appetite!! Perfect for kids or grown up kids alike, this set is so sweet and contains adorable sentiments too!
I decided to focus on one image today – the adorable cupcake – and then let the sentiments do the talking, literally:

I started my stamping my cupcake onto patterned papers from the My Mind’s Eye and did some paper piecing to get that yummy frosting and cute heart! I adhered the pieces together with Pinflair Glue Gel for a little dimension.
Next I die cut some speech bubbles and coloured them lightly with Copics, then stamped my sentiments on them. I love the cupcake taking the place of the word in the conversation! I created a card base shaped like a phone and adhered my elements in place for a cute little card that is perfect to slip into a lunchbox or briefcase!

Adorable! I love the cupcake in your sentiment! Like a rebus. Coloring the other speech bubble is so smart to indicate the other person talking. Still loving those lights in the background and the mirrored surface … I think you have a winner there!
