AND we have an *amazing* Guest Designer this month – check out the Lil’ Inker Designs blog for more info!!
And just to reiterate – it is well worth hopping and commenting as there’s a chance to win prizes! This month there are 2 $10 store credits up for grabs that will be selected at random from one of our blogs!!
So today I’m showing you a bit from a set that you might have seen in our August birthday month but is officially introduced this month!! Certainly some of you went completely crazy for it as it was made available early and sold out in record time! I am of course referring to the awesome and utterly unique Snarky Sentiments set!! This is a *great* all-occasion set that is perfect for those friends who can take a little humour! *wink* Filled to the brim with funny, sarcastic, silly, and pinch-of-truth sentiments, this one is bound to fill a hole in your arsenal like no other stamp set!!
For the record, I am not usually one to use these sorts of sentiments on a card. I think they’re awesome but was a bit worried about how to incorporate them into my style. Then I had an absolute *genius* of an idea and this was born:
Squeal!!! I just love this so so much!! It’s one of my most favourite cards ever!!!
I took inspiration from those sarcastic ecard images I keep seeing on Facebook and decided that this look was perfect for this set!
I started with a Stamper’s Select White card base and stamped the lady from the Craft Secrets Coffee And Tea set using Versafine Onyx Black ink. I also stamped her onto a post-it note and cut her out to use as a mask, before blending Distress Ink in Milled Lavender over the card front. This was a perfect colour for this look!
Next I stamped the sentiment from Snarky Sentiments. Goes so perfectly with the inspiration don’t you think?!
Finally, I wanted to add a small supporting sentiment at the bottom right of the card to mimic the ecard logo I have seen. I decided with this kind of sentiment that the card could be a tongue-in-cheek good luck card so the tiny sentiment from Tiny Tags II was a perfect fit!!
So, now you’ve seen this awesome set officially introduced – maybe you ought to head over to the Lil’ Inker Designs site and take a look around! Tell ’em Taheerah sent ya, lol! Please note that the Snarky Sentiments set is currently sold out but is expected back in stock soon! In the meantime I would love it if you left some love before you went on your way! Thanks so much for stopping by – and please tune in later today for the second day of StampSpotlight!
