Moxie Fab Card Creations Week – The Speech Bubble Challenge

Hi everyone! I hope you’re well!

I’m back today with another Moxie Fab World Challenge entry. This time I’m playing along with The Speech Bubble Challenge. So fun to see so many of my favourite trends being featured as challenges!

Here’s what I ended up with:

I really love how this turned out – it was an idea stuck in my head since I saw this challenge! Then I forgot it. Then I remembered it again. Yay!

I started with a Stamper’s Select White card base and trimmed the speech bubble shape by hand. I then trimmed another bubble that didn’t have to stop at the fold line and adhered that to the base using Scor-Tape.

I then die cut the words using the Wonderful Words: Hello die. Another idea I’d had since this die came out – chop of the ‘h’ and create a more English/Cockney sounding word!

I stamped each word using the two-step Union Jack image from the A:Muse Keep Calm set using Pure Poppy and Enchanted Evening inks. I then adhered to the base using Pinflair Glue Gel. This side view should show the different heights of each word. The apostrophes are just the centres of the ‘e’ characters reused. 🙂 I could have trimmed them a little to be more apostrophe-like, but I was happy enough with them as they were. 🙂

To finish, I drew some scribbles round the bubble using a Sakura Stardust Pen. A perfect finishing touch!

I’d love to know what you think of this card! I guess I’m quite pleased with its British roots, and the shaped-nature of it. Thanks so much for stopping by, have a great day!

  1. Hey Taheerah! Thanks for linking this up to the Speech Bubble Challenge in the Moxie Fab World! I'm so glad you joined in on all the fun! 🙂

  2. Great take on the challenge! and while I was thinking of accents you could swop out the e for an a and have allo allo with a french accent!

  3. I usually think of how I can alter word dies … but never thought of altering this one. What about, "oh, hell?" Hahaha. I think that would be a riot right in the middle of a large speech bubble with lotsa white space. And a period.

Love that you used the inside of the "e" as an apostrophe! It's all about the details : ) Really GREAT card (oh, and that you bothered to cut out another speech bubble that wasn't flat on the top!)

  4. You're taking the Moxie Fab challenges by storm, girl!! Love the British accent (pun intended, lol) and the sketchy look. Love also how the stamped image is revealed just enough to make the flag recognizable, but not too obvious. You're a genius! xoxo
