Moxie Fab Card Creations Week – The Ombre Challenge

By Taheerah | 11th March 2013 | 21 Comments

Hey everyone! I hope Monday isn’t treating you too badly!

I thought I’d get a much earlier start on some of the remaining Moxie Fab Challenges, after the stresses of my Camera Craze Challenge card here!

So today I’m bringing you a card which qualifies for both The Ombre Challenge and The Emphasise The Negative Challenge:

What do you think? I’m pretty pleased with this on the whole!

I started with a panel of Pearl White Metallic cardstock and sprayed it with Heidi Swapp Colour Shine Mists in Primrose and Sweet Cherry. I used a tissue to sweep some of the colour up to blend it, but allowing a fine mist to persist at the top of the panel.

I then die cut the ‘Hello’ from the panel using the Wonderful Words: Hello die. I stamped the companion sentiment using Kelly Purkey’s Plain Jane Alphabet set using Versamark ink and then heat embossed with WOW! Opaque Bright White Super Fine embossing powder. I dabbed a bit more mist onto the embossing afterwards to soften it and add to the ombre effect.

Finally I adhered my panel to a Stamper’s Select White card base using Pinflair Glue Gel and I was all done!

I’m planning to tackle the remaining challenges at some point, and maybe revisit these two – but nothing like posting a banker entry! I would love to know what you think of this card! Thanks so much for stopping by, have a great day!

  3. I love how you did the card. It definitely achieves the objective. Those colors are great.
I don't think I commented yesterday, but you did a great job on your camera card. Very imaginative.
