Christmas Card Orders – Part 2

Hi again!
I’m back as promised with more Christmas cards!
For this set of cards I went for a more ‘funky’ look, in keeping I thought with the lady that ordered them! She just asked for a set of 5, and apart from asking for one card to have a snowman all the other design elements etc were left up to me. I love it when that happens, gives me freedom to play!!
So, here’s what I came up with:

Here is the card featuring the snowman. I went for a shock of pink, with the hat and scarf in pink and the background mat being a piece of Raspberry Fizz cardstock. The pattern was created with Vintage Cream ink and the SU! Rough Texture Wheel. I punched a border with my favourite Martha Stewart punch and adhered with Pinflair Glue Gel for dimension. I added a strip of Vintage Cream Satin to ‘tame’ the shock a bit, lol.
This second card used my popular Holly design, not much to say on this one that’s not already been said! I used a strip of Pure Poppy Swiss Dot ribbon to change it up a bit.
This next card took a lot of inspiration from Dawn McVey, with the colour scheme CASEd and just a bit of difference with the Vintage Cream Twill and smaller strip of patterned paper. If it ain’t broke don’t fix it!
I like this next card a lot. It uses the ornament trio from Holiday Button Bits, with a selection of Spring Rain buttons used for the ornaments. The sentiment and ornament strings were stamped with Fresh Snow ink onto Enchanted Evening cardstock. The background is Background Basics: Text Style II and was stamped with Versamark ink. The Enchanted Evening mat is edged with a Silver Sakura PenTouch pen and then mounted onto a Spring Rain base, with the edges of that inked with Enchanted Evening.
This last card used Tree Trimming Trio, with the tree stamped in Vintage Cream onto Ripe Avocado cardstock. The baubles were created with a 1/2″ circle punch, onto which I placed strips of double sided tape and then sprinkled with Martha Stewart Tinsel Glitter. I added expoxy circle stickers on top and then randomly pressed my Dark Chocolate inkpad over the top to give it a sort of Cloisonné effect. The punched strip is Spring Moss and stamped with Background Basics: Diamonds using Versamark. I added a strip of Scor Tape above it and sprinkled with Martha Stewart Glitter. The star is from Tree Trimming Trio, cut by hand and glitter applied in the same manner as before. I rounded the two top corners for interest.
That’s it from me for today! More Christmas cards to follow tomorrow, in the meantime I’d love to hear what you think of these ones!

  1. Taheerah, these are beautiful. I love how each card is different and that you tastefully had each one a color that just makes them look elegant. Nice work! 🙂

  2. They are beautiful! The colors are really striking on all of them. I really like that green and gold card especially. I'm sure your client will love them!

  3. All your cards are gorgeous but I love-love the last card with the green and gold. Thank you for sharing how you made the baubles for the tree. Im going to have to try inking the epoxy circles the next time I use it. I can't believe you'll have MORE cards to share – you were certainly busy this season! :o)
