I’m back today because it’s time for the Neat & Tangled January release! It feels so great to be creating again!!
This has got to be one of my most favourite releases in some time!! So many awesome, cute and clever products being released this month! Definitely something for everyone, with some super-versatile sets!!
Today I’m helping to introduce a new die called Wholehearted, which is really clever and gives a great effect to a full card, with partially and fully cut hearts cut from the panel!!
I really wanted to do something fun with this die, so decided to create a shaker card!
Here’s what I came up with:
I love how this turned out!
I started by watercolouring my panel using the Kuretake Gansai Tambi watercolours. When dry I then die cut the panel, which also flattened the paper too. 🙂 I popped out some of the half hearts and dry brushed a little Liquid Gilding onto them.
I die cut the panel a second time to create my shaker surround, and put some of the die cut hearts at the bottom layer of the card to bring the colour back in. I filled the shaker with some of the sequins from Lucy’s Little Things! I added the edge of my watercoloured panel to the same height as the front of the card to make it look a bit more finished.
To finish, I stamped the sentiment and little hearts from an awesomely cute new set called Lumberjack Love, which is designed by the amazingly talented Elena Roussakis!! This one is gonna fly off the shelves, believe me!! Other DT members are sharing cards today featuring the cute images from this set, so you *must* check them out!!
I do strongly encourage you to visit the Neat & Tangled Blog to see what the rest of the DT has created and to hop along and leave them some love! There are prizes in it for you!
Thanks so much for stopping by – I would love it if you left some love before you went on your way!
