STAMPlorations 2nd Birthday Blog Hop!

Hey everyone! Happy Thursday!

I’m here today as a Guest Designer for a very special event!

That’s right! STAMPlorations is celebrating its 2nd birthday this week – and I’m thrilled to be a part of the festivities as a Guest Designer!!

I couldn’t wait to get stuck in and create some projects featuring the newest sets – Party Mates, Party Time & Party Girl!

Here’s what I came up with:

I am so in love with these!!

I really wanted to push myself a bit outside my comfort zone and try some Maggie Holmes-esque layering! What do you think of the results?!

For the first tag I used the dress and coathanger images from Party Girl and heat embossed them on watercolour paper using WOW! Metallic Gold Sparkle embossing powder. I heat embossed and trimmed out another dress from vellum then ombre watercoloured it using Distress Ink in Cracked Pistachio. I adhered the dresses on top of each other for a fun layered look!

I spread some Multi Matte Medium over some parts of the skirt and on the bodice then coated them with Distress Glitter in Rock Candy.

I die cut the tag from watercolour paper using the Winnie & Walter Essentials: Katharine Cutaways dies, then impressed it with the Maggie Holmes Open Book embossing folder I then ombre watercoloured it using SU! ink in Blushing Bride.

The rest was some layering of patterned papers and a decorated pick from the Crate Paper Confetti Collection with heat embossing of the sentiment from Party Time, and a few sequins and some gold ribbon thrown on for good measure!!

My second tag used the fantastic cupcake images from Party Mates:

Love this one too!

I die cut the tag in the same way, then layered on some more patterned papers and splattered on some mists.

I heat embossed the cupcake and watercoloured it with Heidi Swapp Colour Shine Mists in Mint Green, Georgia Peach, Blush and Coral. I adhered some wood veneer stars for a fun touch and added some touches of Martha Stewart glitter too!

Some more die cut shapes from the Confetti collection, and a couple of star sequins completed the tag itself, before I added the glitter clothes pin from the Crate Paper Open Book collection – which I stamped part of a sentiment from Party Time to complete the look!

So, it wouldn’t be a birthday without a party – and it wouldn’t be a party without some presents! Read on to hear about how you can win some goodies from this special Birthday event!

So, there are a few ways to win – and a few different prizes too!!
