Hey everyone! Welcome back!

So it’s time for the Neat & Tangled January Release! We have *six* awesome sets being released this month!! And some awesome dies too!! AND sequins!! Definitely something for everyone, with some super-versatile sets!!

Today I’m helping to introduce an awesome new set called Out of The Box! Why ‘Out of The Box’, I hear you ask? Well, just wait ’til you see the amazing and innovative Box Die that goes with it!! We’re also introducing a die that coordinates with the Origami Map set, and this is pretty awesome too!!

For my first card I had a bright idea:

*squeal* I love this so so much!!!

I started by die cutting the box from My Style Blueprint cardstock and folding it to make the box! I used 1/8″ Scor-Tape to secure the folds.

Next I set about creating that ring! I stamped the largest diamond from the Sparkle And Shine set onto Pure White cardstock using Simon Says Stamp ink in Sea Glass. I then went over the stamped portions with Glossy Accents and coated with Donna Salazar glitter. The ring band is from the You + Me set and was stamped with Versamark ink and heat embossed using WOW! Metallic Gold Sparkle embossing powder. I trimmed it out carefully then pressed it into my Versamark pad before heat embossing a second time.

I adhered some My Mind’s Eye Necessities: Metallic Confetti Vellum onto a Pure White card base then a piece of patterned paper that I’d splattered with Heidi Swapp Colour Shine Mist in Gold Lame (apologies for not naming the paper, I need to check it!). I adhered the box to the card using Scor-Tape then adhered the band and diamond using Pinflair Glue Gel. To finish I stamped the speech bubble from Out of The Box onto Rustic White cardstock using Versafine Onyx Black ink. The bubble is actually a straight bubble but the interior is hollow so you can manipulate it to create one of those fun trendy shapes too! I built the sentiment from stamps from Be My Valentine and Photo Booth then trimmed out the bubble and adhered with Pinflair to finish!!

My second project combines the Origami Map and Die:

*swoon* I cannot tell you how much I love this!!!

I started with a piece of heavyweight/letterpress cardstock from the Papertrey MakeIt Market: Luxe Letterpress kit. I then inked up my die with Versamark ink and impressed it into the cardstock. I then heat embossed with WOW! Metallic Gold Rich Pale embossing powder. Those little specks don’t bother me – in fact I think they add to the design and give the impression of coral reefs and archipelagos. 🙂

I then stamped the map from Origami Map and heat embossed in the same way. Finally I stamped the sentiment using Versafine Onyx Black ink and heat embossed with Filigree Black embossing powder. And then I framed it. And put it in my Craft Room. It makes me super happy.

  1. Look at you go! Who doesn't love a ring in a Tiffany box, total eye catcher! And the framed art, I super love. Had no idea the speckles weren't supposed to be there, I totally thought it was part of the design! 🙂

  2. That engagement card is just too fun, love that big old diamond ring, and the home decor piece! So elegant and pretty, I agree with you about the gold flecks, the frame is gorgeous too!
