Hey everyone!

I’m back today to welcome to Day 2 of the Newton’s Nook Holiday Release! 

We have FIVE *awesome* sets being released this month – and you’re totally invited to come party with us!

This month we’re getting into the Holiday spirit! Today’s set is sure to be a great hit with all you dog lovers! We have an awesome set featuring festive Dachshunds – Holiday Hounds!!

I couldn’t resist the dachshund in the awkward Christmas jumper! Poor dog, lol! Here’s what I came up with: 

What do you think? Gotta admit I’m kinda crazy about this one!! One of my favourite cards in recent times! 

I started by stamping my dog onto patterned paper and then stamped his jumper separately onto various patterned papers and paper piecing it. I used papers from the Glitz Design Yours Truly collection, the Simple Stories Handmade Holiday collection and Lawn Fawn’s Peace Joy Love collection! I also used some of my trusty Pinkfresh Studio washi tape for one of the sections! A little Copic colouring set of the dog’s nose and added some shading nicely!

I adhered my hound to a Rustic White card base loaded with some more patterned papers and some sequins and one of the bones stamped using Brilliance Lightning Black ink and overstamped with Perfect Pearls Mist in Heirloom Gold, which was also flicked onto the base. I then added a ticket die cut from patterned paper using the Just The Ticket Border die and stamped with the ticket from PTI’s Just The Ticket stamp set. I added my sentiment using Versafine Onyx Black ink and adhered it using Pinflair Glue Gel to complete the look!
