Hey everyone! How’s your weekend going? 🙂

This is my second post for today. Please scroll down or click here for my Paper Smooches SPARKS Challenge card. 🙂

So today is an exciting day – I’m joining in on the fun with the Curtain Call Inspiration Challenge guys for their challenge today! I’m a little late time-wise in joining in the fun, but better late than never, right? 🙂

This is a super-fun challenge blog – and this week Uniko Studio is the sponsor! Yay Uniko!! We are offering a £15 gift certificate to the Lead (winner) of the challenge – so it’s well worth playing along so you can land some Uniko goodies!!

Our inspiration today comes from this *gorgeous* and delicious-looking photo:

Totally yummy!!

I took the inspiration pretty literally, and of course had to pull out my Uniko Studio Stunning Snowflakes set! Here’s what I came up with:

I *love* how this turned out!!

I started with some Pure White cardstock and stamped the snowflakes using Versamark ink, then heat embossed with WOW! Opaque Seafoam White embossing powder. I them trimmed each snowflake out and blended in Distress Inks in Spun Sugar and Tumbled Glass, before inking the edges with VintageTouch Chamomile ink. I punched out the smaller snowflakes with my EK Success 1″ Circle Punch then applied the same treatment.

Next came the stars! I used the largest of Uniko’s Snowflake dies and cut just the centre portion out – perfect! I pressed into my Versamark inkpad and heat embossed as before. Then I used a new toy – the Viva Decor Paper Pen in Cream – to add a sweet icing to my stars! Before it dried I sprinkled on some Martha Stewart Glitters for extra cookie glam!

I then began to assemble my elements onto my Soft Stone card base, using Pinflair Glue Gel for varying dimension. I also added some star sequins from the Studio Calico Cinnamon Spice Add-On Card Kit, securing those in place with Glossy Accents.

Finally I heat embossed the sentiment from Stunning Snowflakes using WOW! Metallic Gold Rich Pale embossing powder. I broke the sentiment up into two so that it fit, and as a final touch went over it with a Quickie Glue Pen so I could then add a sugaring of glitter on the top. 🙂

Well after seeing all this you really need to check out the post over at Curtain Call Inspiration Challenge to get even more inspiration!! And then, play along!! Uniko Studio is offering a £15 gift certificate to the Lead (winner) of the challenge – so it’s well worth playing along so you can land some Uniko goodies!!

That’s it from me for today – honest. 🙂 But one more thing!! I noticed whilst browsing today that Simon Says Stamp has the Distress Markers sets for 40% off today!! Such a great deal and a great chance to invest in these awesome markers! You can click the images below to get yours! 🙂

I would love it if you left some love before you went on your way! Thanks so much for stopping by!
