Dotty Friend

Well I guess it’s better than calling it ‘Spotty Friend’. right?! lol!

Hey everyone! Happy Wednesday! Today I’m bringing you another modern, funky card. I’m just loving creating these one layer wonders lately! This one features some more of that amazing gold leaf too!

Love!

I started with a Stamper’s Select White card base and stamped the two large dots from Polka Dot Basics I using a variety of inks. I used the reverse of the stamps as I wanted a modern, imperfect circle look, and it was great to be able to stamp these and not have to worry about perfect alignment either!

I used Lavender Moon, Plum Pudding and Kraft inks from PTI, Lime and Bermuda inks from A:Muse and Soft Suede ink from SU! Definitely a little influence from the Online Card Classes colour combo this week – even though I’m not managing to play along I’m definitely still paying attention, lol!

When I had finished stamping my dots, I selectively painted acrylic gold size onto my sentiment stamp from Mama Elephant’s Tree Friends set and stamped it onto my base, then applied and burnished my gold leaf to complete!

ETA: The colours don’t quite match up to the inspiration photo, but the imperfect circles and layout kinda work for the latest Tuesday Trigger: Painterly Palette, so I’m linking up to there.

*And* I’m also linking up to the latest CASology Cue Card Challenge which is dedicated to all things gold!

Well I’m going to *try* and get an early night tonight, so that’s it from me for now! I would love it if you left some love before you went on your way. I know I’ve been really rubbish at returning comments lately and I’m so sorry about that – I will strive to get better, I promise! Thanks so much for stopping by!
