I’m bringing you a really delicate sympathy card today featuring Clearly Besotted Stamps’ Fancy Feathers set:

What do you think? I really love how soft and delicate and subtle it is. I know we never like making sympathy cards, but is it alright to say I really enjoyed making this one? I guess maybe because I didn’t create it for an actual need of making one then that’s okay?

Anyway.

I started with a Stamper’s Select White card base. I curved the feather stamp on my block before stamping it using Soft Stone ink. I added some very subtle shadowing underneath the feather using a W00 Copic and Colourless Blender. You might just about be able to see it!

I added the sentiment from Peaceful Garden using Palette Charcoal ink. I then used a Sakura Stardust pen to add a couple of fine lines of glitter on the feather, and a few dotted about on the card, and used a wet paintbrush to spread the glitter over the whole of the feather and blend the dots out to be more subtle. The effect is absolutely stunning in real life and I only wish I could capture it properly here as it doesn’t really show that well.

I’m afraid my mojo was nowhere to be found this weekend with all my new goodies! Maybe during the week I’ll have more luck! I would love it if you left some love before you went on your way! Thanks so much for stopping by!
