For You Dad

Hey everyone! How are you today?

I finally had a chance to break out my Lil’ Inker Designs Dad Word Die and have a play. I loved this die from the moment I saw it!

I opted to create a very sleek, almost brushed stainless steel effect card, and I managed to stay pretty true to what was in my head:

What do you think? I’m pretty happy with how this turned out!

I started with a panel of Sterling Silver cardstock and repeatedly brushed I Steel Got It ink over it to give it the brushed steel look I was after. I then die cut the Dad word from the panel, making sure to keep all the pieces.

I spelled the ‘For’ sentiment using the Headline Alphabet set and stamped the letters with Smokey Shadow ink, then added the ‘You’ from Mama Elephant’s So Breezy set using Versafine Onyx Black ink. I adhered everything to a True Black card base, including all the little die cut pieces, using Scor-Tape. Love the finished look so much!!

You will *definitely* want to check back here tomorrow to see something very exciting I’ve got going on! *wink* In the meantime I would love it if you left some love for this card before you went on your way. Thanks so much for stopping by!
