Birthday Wishes

Hi everyone! I hope this Monday finds you well!

I was enjoying playing around with the scrappy/collage style when I made my Mama Elephant card the other day, so I thought I’d have another go at creating a collage effect. This time I used a new set by a new company to me – the Form & Feder set from Scrapperin. I love discovering new companies and fabulous new designs!

I wanted to have a burst of colours and make a fun, funky statement. You can tell me how I did:

What do you think? I’m quite liking it, but I think I prefer my Mama Elephant card more!

This card came together pretty quickly, relatively speaking! I started with a Stamper’s Select White card base and stamped lots of images from Form & Feder in a multitude of inks (see supplies below).

For the heart I stamped and trimmed out the image separately, wrapped some twine around it and adhered to the base using Pinflair Glue Gel. I used tiny drops of Glossy Accents to secure the twine as I wanted it.

I added the sentiment from Birthday Style and thought I was done, but when photographing decided the card needed some sequins! So I went back and added them and ended up with what you see above. 🙂

Well, I am going to see if I can maybe squeeze in one or two more cards to the latest Paper Crafts call, and of course make something for tomorrow’s blog post too! Have you any crafty plans for this week? I am going to try really hard to get back into a more productive groove – wish me luck!

I would love it if you left some love before you went on your way! Thanks so much for stopping by!

  1. OK! This is now my NEW FAV! I was going to stop looking at your blog (a girl has to get back to work! LOL!)… but I scrolled down just one more post— TOTALLY in love with this card! I LOVE the colors and layered stamping….love the sequins….love the twine….LOOOOOOOOOOOOVE x10000! This is my FAV:)

  2. Another beauty! I find this one is just as awesome as the Mama E card…again, any section of it would make a great standalone design. I love the added color in this one though. And what a fab new set…bad of you to tempt me into looking at it 😉

  3. Nicely done Taheerah! I like how scrapbook-y this looks too. I love Papertrey stamps but haven't bought any yet because the shipping throws me off. Its super expensive =( TFS!

  4. Umm, yes! Fun AND funky! I love your melon. I really need a good melon. It always looks so great with red/raspberry. Super fun with all the things going on in the corner, and the sequins floating away!
