14 Days of Valentine’s Card – Day 6!

By Taheerah | 6th February 2013 | 9 Comments

Hey everyone! Welcome to Day 6 of my Valentine’s Showcase!

If this is your first time here, don’t worry – I’ll catch you up!

Due to the popularity of my 25 Days of Christmas Cards posts (well, they were popular with me anyway!), I thought I’d bring you a series of cards that are perfect for Valentine’s Day! And, just to give this series a little twist, I am challenging myself and keeping them all as cards that are suitable for guys! Every year I see a smorgasbord of beautiful Valentine’s cards, and they are all very well done and very inspiring – but they all tend to be very girly. So I’m bucking the trend and bringing you a fortnight of cards dedicated to the men in our lives!

Fun huh?! I’ve had real fun with this series!

So today’s card is another geeky one! What can I say – I know a lotta geeks, lol!

This one’s a bit more for the Maths geeks though:

What do you think? Hopefully you get it! It’s all back to the algebra we did at school and showing your working as you simplify an equation! Here we’ve started out with an expression and once we’ve done our working and simplified we’ve ended up with i < 3 u. 🙂

Anyway, that’s the Maths lesson over! On with the card, lol!

I started with a piece of A:Muse Graph Paper and die cut the notebook edge with the MFT Notebook Edge die.

I then stamped my equation using MFT’s Typrewriter Alphabet set and Versafine Onyx Black ink. For the final line I used Pure Poppy ink for the ‘< 3’.

I curled and bent the paper with my fingers, then adhered it to a I Steel Got It card base using Pinflair Glue Gel. I added a little Pebbles Library Clip and that was it!

Tomorrow’s post won’t be geeky at all – I promise! I do hope you’ll join me back here then, and in the meantime I’d love to know your thoughts on this post and this series! Thanks so much for stopping by!

  1. Ha! I absolutely adore this as well! Reminds me of something I saw on Pinterest the other day that went something like this…
And then Satan said, Let's add the alphabet to mathematics. LOL!
