Papertrey May 2011 Blog Hop

Hey everyone!

Well, it’s time for the Papertrey Blog Hop! Boy May has gone fast!

This month’s challenge is to create something with flowers. Here’s the brief from Nichole:

May is the month when many flowers finally go into full bloom after a long winter’s sleep.  For the blog hop this month we want to see your favorite take on flowers.  You can stamp backgrounds, create custom floral embellishments, showcase unique flower center additions (buttons, rhinestones, beads, etc…), flowers die-cut from different materials (like fabric, felt, vellum, etc…) or anything else you can dream up!  We are looking forward to seeing all of your amazing creations!I

Fun right?!

For this challenge I’ve cheated a little and am presenting a card that I created a few days ago, so not for the Hop specifically, but it is floral so it fits!

Very CAS for me but I love how this turned out!!

I started with a Berry Sorbet card base and stamped the flowers from Sending You using Terracotta Tile ink. I accented with a few dots from Polka Dot Basics I and added plenty of rhinestones, finishing with the sentiment from Postmarks stamped using Versafine Onyx Black.

Well that must be the shortest post I’ve ever written, lol! I’d love to know what you think of this creation, and happy hopping!!

  1. Lovely, Taheerah! It reminds me of the floral psychedelic art from the '60's–flowers flowing across the universe! 😉
