Tree Trimming Noel

Evening everyone!

I’ve been having another dry spell mojo-wise, but I’ve finally been able to have a chance to have a bit of fun and make a card that I’m happy with! I’m still not completely okay with making Christmas cards in October, but with the wonderful Tree Trimming Trio I couldn’t resist!

I just love the colours on this card! I started with a Kraft card base onto which I adhered strips of PTI Holiday Cheer patterned paper. I love the versatility of the designs! I chose to pair different scaled patterns separated by a strip of Raspberry Fizz Grosgrain ribbon.

The flourish tree was stamped onto Rustic Cream cardstock using the new Spring Moss ink. Great coverage and colour with this ink! I tapped Versamark onto the stamp first then Spring Moss, then sprinkled on some Stickum powder, heated with a heat gun and applied Kars Extra Fine Glitter for a gorgeous glittery tree! The tree stump was stamped in Dark Chocolate.

I selected three buttons from my Rustic Wooden Buttons collection and tied with Rustic Cream Button Twine which I’d coloured using my Raspberry Fizz ink cube to match the ribbon. The sentiment was stamped using Dark Chocolate ink and the characters interspersed with tiny rhinestones which I coloured with a Copic marker to match the Raspberry Fizz theme.

Finally I used my new Mega Curved Nestabilities to cut out the tree, inked the edges with my VintageTouch Tea Dye Duo and adhered with Pinflair Glue Gel. I’m just loving the non-traditional colour Christmas cards that I’ve been seeing, and I have to give credit to the amazing Dawn McVey as usual for the inspiration!!
