Well, I had another go at Dawn’s Challenge today and think I got a lot closer to what I wanted to achieve:
Look at those gorgeous flowers! Those are from the exclusive PTI Floral Fusion Stamp Set that was an exclusive set available at CHA to those who spent $100 on PTI products. I won mine on eBay and am so glad I did!
The background pattern takes a combination of some of the different flowers available in the set stamped onto Plum Pudding cardstock. The larger flowers are stamped in Plum Pudding, the smaller flower in Raspberry Fizz (looks even better in real life!) and the smallest flowers in Scarlet Jewel.
I also took a piece of Raspberry Fizz cardstock and used my SU! Rough Texture Wheel with Vintage Cream ink to soften the vibrancy of the colour a little. Both this and the Plum Pudding background were matted onto a Vintage Cream cardstock base.
I put a double layer of ribbon (Plum Pudding Grosgrain and Raspberry Fizz Satin)on top of the mats and then mounted my main image – a flower stem stamped with Scarlet Jewel sporting a large Raspberry Fizz flower, small cluster of Raspberry Fizz flowers and a single small Plum Pudding Flower.
The Flowers were all a bit too vibrant for the effect I wanted to achieve so I overstamped with a light layer of Vintage Cream to soften the look. After this I stamped the stamen of the main flower in Scarlet Jewel.
The sentiment is stamped in Plum Pudding and flanked by Raspberry Fizz flower clusters which were stamped off once before stamping onto the card. Finally I used a giant Raspberry Fizz button and knotted through with two lengths of Rustic Cream Button Twine finished in a bow and voila!!
So what do you think? Better than the first attempt? Which do you like best and why?

I'm loving this card – and the fact you've got the CHA set without spending a fortune to go in person!
Both entries are different so can I cheat and say I like both the same for different reasons?! LOL!

Oooh, I'm loving the raspberry fizz tempered with the cream texture wheel…I thought it was some new PP! And your double ribbon had me thinking you found some pink satin trimmed with purple! So cool that it's actually 2 layers. The added touch of tiny stamped flowers flanking the sentiment is perfect. Ties it all togther!
Like best? hmmm…the first one I think…because I'm drawn to more "white space", but both are lovely!
