Father’s Day Copics Cards

Copics aren’t just for colouring in stamped images!

For a couple of recent orders I made for Father’s Day I decided to turn artist and attempt to create my own images with Copics. The first of these is a dinghy which I drew first in pencil on PTI Rustic White cardstock, then went over with a fine paintbrush and Memento Tuxedo Black ink, using the brush to pick up the ink directly off the pad. I got the solid outline I needed but the line isn’t fine enough for my liking so in future I’ll be using Memento Tuxedo Black markers instead. After outlining my image I proceeded to colour in the image using Copic Ciaos.

I then mounted the finished image onto PTI Rustic White cardstock again with a thin mat of PTI Kraft Cardstock in between. The sentiment if from the KSS ‘3 Step Rose’ stamp set and I handwrote ‘Dad’ in my own script.
