So, after a really hectic weekend of crafting (I created something like 10 projects at least, ack!), I had to create a quick card for today’s post. Irresistibly Ikat to the rescue! I wonder if this is going to become a go-to set for me!

I decided to create a little notecard, and here’s what I ended up with:

A much more ‘traditional’ formation for my pattern this time, but still rocking the same colour combo as before – I guess I’m crushin’ on it a little!

I stamped my patterns onto my Rustic White card base using A:Muse Burano and Versafine Onyx Black inks. I actually kept my stamp dirty in between sometimes to end up with a two-tone effect, and sometimes just a little overstamping too. Really pleased with how this turned out – though my inkpad needed a good clean after and didn’t thank me for it! My notecard is little indeed – 2 1/8″ x 5.5″ (aka I used the supplies I had to hand – there was a standard A2 sized piece of cardstock lying about and I scored it to make a base. Why not, eh?).

Same method as before with the sentiment strip – strip of cardstock, Versamark ink, heat emboss with WOW! Metallic Gold Rich Pale Super Fine embossing powder (God that’s a mouthful, lol!). I then stamped the sentiment in Versafine and Versamark and heat embossed with Filigree Clear embossing powder. I did try Stazon at first but it didn’t work (as expected, Stazon is rubbish!).

Anyway, that was all there was too it! Very quick and simple, this came together in no time at all!
