One Day At A Time

Hey everyone! Happy Friday!

Today I’m playing with Mama Elephant’s Winter Wonderland set again (I know, big surprise, right?) Well, I think this one might actually surprise you a little:

What do you think? I love this!!

I was inspired by this photo from one of the old Paper Smooches SPARKS Challenge blog:

I’m really pleased with how my version turned out!

I started with a Stamper’s Select White card base and blended some Distress Ink in Antique Linen over the front. I then misted with Glimmer Mist in Electric Blue and Studio Calico Mister Huey’s in Bonny Blue (now discontinued).

Next came those flowers. I stamped the trunk from Winter Wonderland using a mix of Memento Luxe inks in Elderberry, Espresso Truffle and Rich Cocoa. I added some flower heads using Polka Dot Basics I, coated them with Glossy Accents then pressed some sequins into them.

I added the sentiment from Paper Smooches’ First Aid Kit set, then finally blended some inks around the edges to complete this card!

Well I would love it if you left some love for this card before you went on your way! *Also* it’s time to announce the winner of the Uniko Studio Designers’ Favourites Blog Hop!

My winner was #6 – ~amy~!! Congratulations Amy!! I’ll be in touch to let you know what happens next!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

  1. I like your version better! Specially those blue patches in the background. I was wondering what they are supposed to be…I wouldn't call them flowers…more like alien eyes, or alien flowers! 😀 Cute ones though 🙂 Love your creativity!

  2. LOVE how you were inspired, Taheerah! Your take on it is amazing! I love the artful and whimsical look of the flowers! Totally original and creative! It's a WINNER in my book!
