Hey everyone!

This is my second post of the day. Please scroll down to check out my post for the latest Runway Inspired Challenge!!

I’m back to welcome to Day 1 of the Newton’s Nook March Release!

We have three *awesome* sets being released this month – and you’re totally invited to come party with us!

Today’s set is a cute little Spring set featuring a cute duck getting all prepared to have some fun with those Spring Showers! The cute little set is another of the brand new 4″x3″ mini sized sets and contains enough images and sentiments to create some adorable cards!!

I was still really enjoying the paper piecing from my last Newton’s Nook project so I pulled out the patterned papers again and came up with this:

What do you think? I love how this turned out!

I started by stamping the duck onto a variety of patterned papers from the American Crafts Dear Lizzy Neapolitan collection. I pieced him all back together, adding some Glossy Accents to his welly boots and sprinkling with glitter!

I then trimmed a piece of cloud patterned paper from the adorable new Lawn Fawn Hello Sunshine collection! I love this entire collection so much! I added some Glossy Accents to some of the raindrops and added some glitter again, and added some glitter to the clouds too! I then adhered a piece of green gridded paper from the previously mentioned Dear Lizzy Neapolitan Collection, die cutting this with the Lawn Fawn Speech Bubble Border die, adhering in place with Pinflair Glue Gel. I then added some glitter all the edges too! I had originally trimmed the cloud panel with my paper trimmer but then passed the edges of the whole panel through my Big Shot with the Femme Frames die to add that awesome stitching detail.

Almost there! I adhered my paper pieced duck to the panel using Pinflair Glue Gel, adding some paper pieced puddles/splashes using some more paper from the Hello Sunshine collection. I stamped the sentiment using Versafine Onyx Black ink then adhered everything to a Pure White card base and I was all done!

All the Newtonians (that’s what I’ve decided to call us, hehe!) are blog hopping today! Please be sure to join us and hop along and comment on each of the team’s creations! Read on because there’s a prize up for grabs!
