Hi everyone! Happy Wednesday!!
Well I’m certainly going to be spoiling you all over the next few days! Not only is StampSpotlight in full swing, but the latest Uniko Studio Release is in town – and I love love *love* everything!!!
This month’s release is just mindblowingly awesome!! Certainly got my creative juices flowing!! Today I’m starting off with helping to introduce the latest Background Builders set – Flower Power!!
The flowers in this set are oh so dainty and cute!! And really versatile too, as the rest of the Design Team will prove!
One of the strips in particular reminded me of lace, and so I set about creating this gorgeous wedding card:
Happy sigh. Love this!!
I started with a Vintage Cream card base. I stamped the rows of flowers twice using Versamark ink and heat embossed using WOW! Opaque Seafoam White embossing powder. I did the same with the sentiment, which comes from another set being released this month!
Once all my embossing was done I decided to add a light, ombre wash of colour. I dabbed my Distress Paints in Spun Sugar and Victorian Velvet onto a piece of plastic and misted with quite a bit of water to thin and blend them. I then used a wide paintbrush to start a wash of colour from the bottom up, creating a really romantic effect!
Finally, I added some Wink of Stella Clear Glitter over the embossing and then added some glittered flowers. These had fallen off a dress of mine so I coated them with a bit of Martha Stewart Glitter and adhered them in place using Pinflair Glue Gel! I think they add the perfect finishing touch!!
So what do you think? Are you loving so far?! I really recommend checking out the Uniko blog where Bev is officially introducing the release every day – and also to the designers who are also showcasing this set! Make sure you comment on each of their gorgeous creations – they deserve it!!
I’d love to know what you think of today’s creation – I love it when you leave love! Thanks so much for stopping by – I hope to see you again tomorrow for the next day of the release – and don’t forget to tune in a little bit later for Day 2 of StampSpotlight as well!!
