Totally Amazing

Hey everyone! I hope you’ve been having a great weekend!

I really love today’s card and can’t wait to share it with you!

What do you think?! I hope I’m not alone in loving this!

I based this card on some inspiration I found on Pinterest. *Love* the sleek modern look of it all!!

I started with a True Black card base and stamped my letters using Versamark ink and WPlus9’s White Pigment ink. I would love to tell you what the stamp set is and link you up to it but it’s actually one set I had commissioned so it’s the only one of its kind! This design would work really well with any other modern alphabet set though!

Once all my stamping was done I heat embossed the letters with WOW! Clear Semi Dull and WOW! Opaque Bright White embossing powders. And that’s all there was to it!*

*Okay, I lied, there is more to this card than that. A couple of cautionary tales: I spent maybe 40 minutes or so painstakingly removing stray tiny specks of embossing powder from my card before heat embossing. Remember to use your powder tools for something like this before you stamp! Also, if you do get the odd stray fleck that you’ve missed, then a black Copic will take care of that pretty effectively!

Well, I think I might have enough time to hit the craft table for one more card today, so I’m going to love you and leave you for now! I do hope you’ll leave some love before you head on your way! Thanks so much for stopping by!

  1. I totally hear you on the stupid embossing powder flakes! Sometimes I wish I didn't like embossing so much…I would get a lot more done, ha! LOVE LOVE LOVE this font, it's gorgeous and the card is just so cool and modern and edgy!

  2. Taheerah YOU are totally amazing! This is darn right stunning. When I first saw it I thought it was an inspiration piece only to realise it was made by hand. Yet again – stunning 🙂

  3. You should send this card to yourself. 🙂 And the inside should say…at creating cards! lol. I saw some similar inspiration like this on etsy and thought it would make a neat card, but I can't find the time to make all the card ideas I have in my head. And then when I do my mojo is nowhere to be found. 🙂
