Uniko Studio June Release – Introducing Pure Florals: Chrysanthemum Dies

By Taheerah | 10th June 2013 | 7 Comments

Hi everyone! I hope your Monday is going well!

I hope you’ve been enjoying the Uniko Studio June Release so far! Today is the last day of introductions before the Group Post and Release Day tomorrow! Yay!!

Today I’m featuring what is bound to be a popular addition to the Uniko product line! Lots of people went crazy over Pure Florals: Chrysanthemums in the April Release so I’m sure you’ll be thrilled to see today’s product – co-ordinating dies!!

I wanted to really show that the dies can be used even if you don’t have the stamp set (but seriously, if you don’t have it, what are you thinking?! Get it!!). I opted for a silhouette look:

What do you think? I’m not 100% sold on this card but I think I like it!

I started with a Stamper’s Select White card base and gave it a colour wash of Distress Paints in Spun Sugar, Wild Honey, Fired Brick and Rusty Hinge. I sprited the cardstock with water to help the colours blend a little more easily. When dry I stamped the stem from Beautiful Blooms I using Versafine Onyx Black ink.

I then die cut the smaller flower head and the leaves from True Black cardstock and inked up the shapes with Versafine so that the colour was more in line with the stamping. I adhered the shapes to the base using Pinflair Glue Gel then added a sentiment from PTI’s Quilled Elegance set and I was all done!

So what do you think? Are you in love big time?! You should be!! I really recommend checking out the Uniko blog where Bev is officially introducing the release every day – and also to the designers who are also showcasing this set! Make sure you comment on each of their gorgeous creations – they deserve it!!

I’d love to know what you think of today’s creation – I love it when you leave love! Thanks so much for stopping by – I hope to see you again tomorrow for Release Day and the Group Post!!
