FaceBook Birthday

Hey everyone! I can’t believe it’s Thursday already!

After yesterday’s foray into Pop Art, I’m back with a card that’s much less out there:

What do you think? I’ve had this idea in my head for ages and I love how it’s turned out!

I started with a Stamper’s Select White card base and stamped the ‘Like’ icon on it. The stamp is from one of those self-inking sets – but of course I didn’t like that or the lack of control over where it would stamp, so… I disassembled it, mounted the stamp onto foam and created my own stamp with it. Of course. I stamped it using A:Muse ink in Navy.

I used the same ink to stamp the sentiment, building it from the individual letter stamps from the Clear And Simple Stamps Alpha Modern set.

I built the cake image from two separate cakes from Papertrey Ink’s Everyday Treats and Tiny Treats: Birthday sets. Finally, to give the card a more realistic FaceBook look, I used some Copics to shade a subtle grey box around the sentiment and ‘Like’ icon. And I was all done!

Well I have been far too unproductive on the crafting front – must change that! I do hope you’ll leave some love today before you head on your way. Thanks so much for stopping by!
