Mint & Gold Birthday

Hey everyone! Happy Wednesday!

I’m playing around with some Uniko Studio goodies again today! Might as well take full advantage of my Guest Designer status for this month, lol!

I pulled out Background Builders: Round In Circles (one of my favourites from the April Release) and created this:

What do you think? I’m kinda in love with this!! And as you can see I’m still *loving* my discovery of a mint ink and pairing it with gold embossing!

I started with a Stamper’s Select White card base. I wanted to create some of those wide stripes that are so on trend right now, so I took one of the polka strips from my set, flipped it over, and used the base of it to stamp my stripes using Versamagic Aquatic Splash ink.

I then stamped the sentiment fro Stylish Sentiments: Birthday, and one of the chain circles in the set with Versamark ink and heat embossed with WOW! Metallic Gold Rich Pale embossing powder. And that’s all there was to it!!

ETA: I’m linking this up to the CAS-ual Fridays CFC99 Challenge to create a CAS birthday card too!

Well, that’s it from me for today. I’m enjoying getting back to a regular crafting routine now, hopefully I will get a good dose of mojo-fuelled cards as a result, lol! I would love to know what you think of this card before you head on your way! Thanks so much for stopping by!!

  1. minty fresh and fabulously elegant! i love that you used the back of a stamp to create those perfect thick stripes (love diagonal stripes!) and the gold is just awesome. so inspiring!

  2. oooh that mint green and gold again! I was just thinking of your telephone card! Love the diagonal bold strips here!! and love how resourceful you are with your stamps!

  3. I was just thinking the same as Amy, so in love with that ink color! And with the gold, a match made in heaven!! So smart of you to use the back of the stamp to get that nice wide strip. PLUS you have it on an angle. This card is so trendy I can hardly stand it!!

  4. Holy cow, Taheerah…the mint and gold embossing together look drop-dead gorgeous! I'm glad you found an ink (now I may have to get it, too). I like the diagonal design, too.

  5. I think I need to invest in some of that Aquatic Splash…I have a bunch of other shades of Versamagic blues but not that one. Your card is gorgeous…the gold…digging the gold.
