Pattern Play Day 2 – Patterned Paper & Stamping

By Taheerah | 20th March 2013 | 17 Comments

Hey everyone! How are you doing?

I’m bringing you Day 2’s homework from the Pattern Play class. Today’s homework was to incorporate stamping on patterned paper into your design.

I love stamping on patterned paper so felt right at home with this! I decided to go for using a soft/neutral pattern so I could use some more detailed stamping. Here’s what I ended up with:

Pretty right?! And so much fun to create!

I started by trimming a piece of paper from the Crate Paper Paper Heart collection. I then stamped the design using the Notebook Doodle set from Lil’ Inkers using A:Muse inks in Grapefruit and Bermuda.

To add the sentiment from Mini Blooms I stamped using Versamark ink and heat embossed with WOW! Opaque Seafoam White embossing powder. Love the off-white look to this!

I finished up by adhering my panel to a Vintage Cream card base and adding a few gold sequins. Man I love sequins – they make everything better!

Well, that’s it from me for today. I’ll be back tomorrow with Day 3’s homework, Thanks so much for stopping by – I would love it if you left some love before you went on your way!

  2. Now how smart are you to choose Bermuda and grapefruit, the same colors that old ledger paper has. It looks perfectly at home here. And I am not surprised that you own a Seafoam white embossing powder … not black, not stark white, but a nice, light color that doesn't jump out at ya. Beautiful, all around!
