Hey everyone! Happy Friday!
Today I’m taking part in a super-fun hop to celebrate one of my favourite companies turning 3 years old! My time on the Newton’s Nook Designs team was filled with great memories, great products and great fun! So I couldn’t wait to play along with them and help celebrate their birthday with them!
I decided to play with the Paradise Palms set, mixing it with the sentiments from Aloha Newton for a tranquil, inspiring card:
I heat embossed my trees and island so that I could blend my Distress Inks over it using a resist technique. No chance of all that Versafine spoiling everything! And I did some mirror stamping to give a more realistic look.
The sentiment is built from two different stamps from Aloha Newton, and some selective inking to stamp onto my die cut cloud. With just a touch of dimension and the layering of patterned paper I think this combines just the right amount of trendy without distracting from the soft feel.
I’m so in love with that sky, it just takes me back to memories of holidaying in Mauritius. 🙂 I spritzed the panel lightly with Glimmer Mist for some subtle sparkle!
