Neat And Tangled and My Sweet Petunia Collaboration – And a Giveaway!!

Hi everyone! Happy Friday!

You may have seen this week that Neat & Tangled and My Sweet Petunia have had a beautiful meeting of products to bring you an awesome collaboration! There’s been so much awesome inspiration on the Neat & Tangled blog, My Sweet Petunia blog and DT members’ blogs – quite mindblowing! Not to mention some AMAZING prizes – make sure you check out all the blogs for details!!

I couldn’t wait to use my MISTI and show you just a fraction of what you can do with it! I love my MISTI. You know the first few days after I got it I used to cuddle it? Yeah, maybe I’m crazy, but it’s totally justified. *wink*

In case you’ve lived under a crafting rock you must surely already know that MISTI is truly the Most Incredible Stamp Tool Invented! This wonderful tool, created by the amazing Iliana, is truly a stamper’s dream and will turn shaky hands, uneven or impartial stamping, and mistakes into things of the past! Techniques are a cinch with this baby, and you will find yourself having less fear of having a wasted project. And I won’t even start on how easy it makes it to mass produce your designs! Just ink, stamp, repeat for perfect placement and results every time!!

So, onto my card!

For my card today I went with a Star Wars theme, featuring A Long Time Ago and Time Warp:

So fun! I loved creating my background with nothing but mist and splatters using a few different kinds of mist! Usually when I play with this set I create a colourful Distress Paint background but today I wanted to go monochromatic. 🙂

See the white lines on the panel? I was able to overstamp the same stamp three times for a really saturated white – impossible to do by eye without the placement being off! Never a problem with MISTI!

I also use my MISTI to help plan the layout of a card. Here you can see how I positioned some stamps to get them straight and in the right place.

I changed my mind on which sentiments to use and was able to use the gridded lid to get my placement and layout perfect before stamping down!

The final card could easily be replicated again and again, with perfect results every time! All hail the MISTI – truly one of the best inventions our industry has ever seen!

    LOVE your COOL & COSMIC design with such BOLD white stamping … I really struggle when using white and confess that my gel pen usually has to help save the day => ANOTHER reason to NEED a MISTI 🙂

  25. I'm just imagining you wandering around cuddling and smiling at your MISTI, from what I hear about it I don't blame you!!! Definitely on top of my wishlist but the price and postage to NZ on top puts it out of my price range. So please give your MISTI a cuddle from me!! Your card is totally out of this world and it has so much dimension and interest. Really enjoyed seeing all the posts this week with the MISTI involved, certainly shows me I need to start saving!!!

    Neat & Tangled has some amazing stamps I still want and they are coming out with great ones faster than I can catch up!!!! Keep them coming though, I'll try my best to keep up…

A gorgeous galaxy, perfect for that 'we need to catch up' sentiment. What a sweetheart you are for sharing photos of Iliana receiving her well-deserved awards; she really has turning this 'sport' upside down with her inventiveness. Mini-MISTI on my wish list; it would be ideal for my teensy-weensy crafting space!
