Runway Inspired Challenge #80 – Nonoo

Hey everyone! Happy Tuesday!

It’s time for another Runway Inspired Challenge! I so love creating for these!!

Here’s the *awesome* inspiration image for this challenge:

OMGosh, what a beauty! I’m crazy about that pattern – it reminds me of a nebula!

Here’s what I came up with:

I could not be more thrilled with how this turned out!! So in love with it!!

I started with a panel of Pure White cardstock and misted it with water mixed with a little Perfect Pearls. I then dabbed Distress Paints in Black Soot, Weathered Wood, Broken China and Picket Fence onto an acrylic block, misted with my water mixture and smooshed onto the cardstock repeatedly, sometimes heat setting between layers, then finishing by splattering some of the paint on too!

It looks so stunning in real life!!

I then stamped the kaboom sentiment from Waltzingmouse Stamps’ Kaboom set (OMG, this set is *amazing*!!!) onto some scrap orange shimmery wrapping paper I had, using Versafine Onyx Black ink then heat embossed using Filigree Black embossing powder. I added small amount of shading to the bottom portion with the halftone using Copics then die cut it with the Kaboom die and adhered it in place using Scor-Tape. I added the companion sentiment and accents in the same manner and I was all done!!

So anyway, now I’m all done squealing and monkey clapping with excitement and all the rest of it, you definitely want to check out what the rest of the DT have come up with!!
