It’s time for another Runway Inspired Challenge! I so love creating for these!!

This week, we have a special edition challenge!! As the Oscars happened last weekend our challenge this week takes inspiration straight from the red carpet!!

We each picked a favourite outfit to inspire us, and you can pick one of them or your own favourite!

Here’s the *awesome* inspiration image I chose for this challenge: 

I just couldn’t resist that amazing black and red dress!! Stunning!!

Here’s what I came up with:

I love how this turned out! More or less what I pictured in my head! I only wish you could see the detail properly/in person!

I started with a panel of Onyx Shimmer cardstock and stamped it repeatedly with the smaller splatter images from the WPlus9 Ink Splats set using Mama Elephant ink in Apple before heat embossing with WOW! Red Glitz embossing powder. I concentrated my stamping mostly at the top and a little over the rest of the panel. 

I covered the panel with some black netting I had in my stash, then stamped and embossed over it some more! I then took a piece of Pure Poppy cardstock, spritzed it with Glimmer Mist in Sugar Plum Fairy then die cut several of the smallest bloom from the Mini Blooms die collection. These were still not small enough so I cut some of them into quarters.

I scrunched them all up for some dimension and adhered in place using Multi Matte Medium. I die cut the Thanks die from True Black cardstock, spritzed with Perfect Pearls Mist in Perfect Pearl then adhered in the same way. Finally I adhered my panel to my base and I was all done!

So anyway, now I’m all done squealing and monkey clapping with excitement and all the rest of it, you definitely want to check out what the rest of the DT have come up with!!
