Winnie & Walter A Week To Die For – The Big, the Bold and Party Cutaways + The Big, the Bold and You Cutaways

Hey everyone! SURPRISE!!!

Welcome back!! I’m so excited to bring you today’s post!

This week there’s a very special feature happening over at the Winnie & Walter blog as the dies from the January Release are given a showcase all their own!! And I am more than thrilled and delighted that Julie & Shay invited me back to participate!

The January Release was CHOCK FULL of *amazing* dies!! Wait ’til you see what everyone’s done with them!

Today I’m helping to showcase The Big, the Bold and Party Cutaways – a great set of scripted words in that signature W&W font that co-ordinates perfectly with The Big, the Bold and Party!

Here’s what I came up with:

I love how this turned out!

I paired the die cut with some watercolouring using Studio Calico Colour Theory inks in Mint Hint and Blush Crush, then overstamped the tissue paper pom-pom from The Party over it with Delicata Gold ink. I watercoloured my Pure White card base with Distressed Paint in Tarnished Brass and Spun Sugar and splattered on some Heidi Swapp Colour Shine mists. The stars and starbursts are from the Sparkle set and I added a supporting greeting from The Big, the Bold and Party using Vesafine Onyx Black ink. The balloon and string are from The Party, stamped in Versamark, coated with Toner Powder and then gold foiled with my Heidi Swapp Mini Machine. 🙂 If you want to see this technique in action the video is below!

How awesome is that?!?!

There’s a ton of inspiration on show on the Winnie & Walter blog, you really must check out their post here to see more!!

Thanks so much for stopping by – I would love it if you left some love before you went on your way!

  1. GORGEOUS card Taheerah – LOVE IT ALL!!!

WOW – what a WONDERFUL way to start our week of CELEBRATING the AWESOMENESS of Winnie & Walter's Cutaways 🙂
I have several W&W stamps sets and several different Creative Screenings, no Cutaways { yet } so I expect my W&W Cutaways wishlist will be much longer before the week is through!!!

  2. Ooooooooo! I absolutely adore this card Taheerah! I love the soft watercoloured background with the inky splatters and the textured effect from stamping on the die cut word. Your trademark touch of gold is the pefect finishing touch too. I might just have to CASE this one (although I don't have any Winnie & Walter stamps or dies yet). Well done!
