I’m back today to welcome to Day 1 of the Newton’s Nook November Release!
We have TWO *awesome* sets being released this month – and you’re totally invited to come party with us!
This month we’re still in the Holiday spirit! Today’s set kicks us off with a great, hilarious Winter set inspired by there being too much snow – Winter Tails!!
There are so many awesome images in this set, but for some reason that image of Winston kept calling me (and a few others of the DT as you will see!). Here’s what I came up with:

I stamped Winston onto some Pure White cardstock and coloured him with Copics. Next I prepped a card panel to create a spinner card! I cut a wiggly channel in the panel, drew a wavy ‘hill’ line then blended in Distress Inks in Tumbled Glass, Spun Sugar and Scattered Straw for the sky. I added some snow with the Falling Snow stencil and white embossing paste, sprinkling on some Martha Stewart Crystal Fine glitter before it set.
I stamped the snow mounds, sentiment and sign using Memento Tuxedo Black ink and added some shading with Copics then assembled the card onto my base using Pinflair Glue Gel and I was all done! The spinner mechanism is quite a standard interactive card element to create, but if any of you would like a tutorial or more instructions please let me know!

Funny, right?! Poor Winston – he can’t help getting into all these scrapes, the hapless bear that he is!!

I LOVE this card! I would really like to see how you assembled the action piece. I have done a circular one in the past and I attempted something similar to what you just did that was an epic fail!
