Newton’s Nook Designs Anniversary Blog Hop

Hey everyone! Happy Friday!

I’m back today for a very special Blog Hop – it’s the first birthday of Newton’s Nook Designs and we’re here to celebrate it in style! 

Welcome to Newton’s Nook Designs Anniversary Blog Hop!Newton’s Nook Designs is so excited to be celebrating their One Year Anniversary – one whole year of getting our paws inky!  To celebrate we have an AMAZING blog hop featuring with our brand new design team and some AWESOME Special Guests! You are going to love all the fun inspiration they’re sharing using Newton’s Nook Designs Stamps! 

With it being a birthday celebration I just had to use Newton’s Birthday Bash! Here’s what I came up with:

*squeal* I love how this turned out!! 

 

I started with a Rustic White card base and adhered patterned papers from the BasicGrey Highline collection and the Heidi Swapp Dreamy collection. I then watercoloured a little onto the top layer of paper using Distress Inks in Worn Lipstick and Tumbled Glass, as usual mixing my water with a little Perfect Pearls for a little shimmer. I then adhered a layer of vellum over the top which was splashed with some Heidi Swapp Colour Shine Mist in Gold Lame.

 

Next I stamped the Newtons onto Pure White cardstock using Memento Tuxedo Black ink and coloured them with Copics. I trimmed them out, went round the edges with a Memento Tuxedo Black marker, then adhered them to my card using Pinflair Glue Gel. 

I stamped the sentiment from Neat & Tangled’s Gifts For You set onto another piece of patterned paper using Versafine Onyx Black ink, affixed to my card using my Tiny Attacher then added a sequin on top to finish off!

  9. What a whimsical touch to your card by adding a layer of vellum spritzed with gold! I just love the kitty floating away with the balloon, too – great layout and design!
