Bauble Tree

Hi everyone!

I’m back again tonight with another card created with the gorgeous Tree Trimming Trio! Love this set! For this card I wanted to use one of the other trees in the set so I went for the bauble tree:

I’m quite pleased with how this card turned out!

The card base is Stamper’s Select White, with the card front showcasing some Enchanted Evening cardstock stamped with Guidelines II and Versamark. For those of you who frequent my blog you’ll remember seeing this one of my previous cards here.

I stamped the bauble tree onto Aqua Mist cardstock which I’d already die cut using my new Top Note die (thanks to Betty for selling this to me!), using Vintage Cream, then Enchanted Evening then finally Aqua Mist. I wanted a bit of depth and variation in the colour, plus I couldn’t make my mind up, lol. I was sure what colour I wanted for the stand though – Snokey Shadow!

I decided to stamp the tree from the set in the gaps instead of one of the bauble designs, and stamped this in Ocean Tides ink. When all the ink was dry I went over all the baubles with my Quickie Glue Pen and applied some Kars Extra Fine Glitter.

I edged the die cut with Fresh Snow ink before adhering to my card front, sandwiching a strip of Fresh Snow Satin ribbon. Finally the sentiment from Signature Christmas was stamped in Fresh Snow. Love how that pops against darker colours!

So what do you think? I’m starting to get into the spirit of Christmas card making now, but I’m going to try to make a non-Christmassy one for my next post!!

  1. Oooh I just LURVE Enchanted Evening and I ADORE the background you've created using Guidlines II – so pretty and subtle too!
Nice different colour combo for a Christmas card too!
Spotted that sentiment and you've got me soooo impatient now as that set jumped into my basket this month!
    Hugs,
